Hair Thursdays

I have a hair proposal. Would you be interested in a weekly hair makeover-type post?
Here’s what I’m thinking. I would post a submitted photo of a reader’s current hairstyle (someone wanting a change, of course), gather the necessary information, find some additional photos of new alternatives, and have you vote on which style you think would be best.
That way, I could satisfy my “hair-consulting” addiction, but let’s face it, I’m not the be all and end all of hair knowledge. This is a democracy, remember? Everyone should be able to put their two cents in. (PLEASE, for the love of God.)
Hopefully, by the end of each Thursday, we will have a highly-irritated participant who is being pulled in thirty different directions.
AWESOME.
What say you? We could start this week!

In other news, my stylist just called and bumped my appointment up to tomorrow. EEK!

If you all are interested, you need to send me an email at hair@whoorl.com so I can put you on the list. The list is being formed first come, first served by the order of emails I receive. Once I have your email, I will send you a hair-questionnaire and request photos. I have filled September and early October, but I’m also thinking of doing 2 people each Thursday to keep the waiting time shorter.

I did a post on my site recently about things to do before I turn 30 and one of them included dying my hair (or changing it dramatically). This could provide ample confusion for me! Now I just need to find a photo to submit…

Perhaps readers can be implored to offer helpful photo links and styling tips as well, especially for any of the hair challenged who wrestle with curls on a daily basis. I go through stupid cycles of trying to grow out my hair, getting impatient with it once it grows down to my shoulders, cutting it, blaming the stylist for cutting it too short, then promising myself to grow it out again. STUPID! I’m trying to grow it out again, but we’ll see how long that lasts. I’m def submitting myself for your advice! Can we get our names on a list or something?? :)

August 30th, 2007 3:33 amNew reader. I love this idea. And may I suggest that you put up a new hair gallery once enough people have participated (and if those people are willing to submit their pictures for it)? Something like Whoorl makeovers with before and after pics.
Since I´m one of those people who fall into one of the two categories of bad hair (according to your dad), I have thin hair, I´ll probably participate when the time for a new appointment comes. (If you take people who don´t have a blog).

Now I’ll let it grow AGAIN and see if we can come up with something good next time. Maybe I’ll have to send you a picture before I get my hair done next time.
