I Think I’m in Love — Adjust-a-Button

Calling all pregnant ladies! (OR ladies and gents who might have over-indulged during the holiday season.)

Are your jeans feeling a little snug around the waistline? Do you feel like your stomach might explode when you sit down? Um, yeah. I might have that problem right now. Never fear! For I have found the answer. Adjust-a-Button.

This little adjustable button has allowed me to stay in my regular jeans up to my 19th week of pregnancy so far, and for that I am eternally grateful. Since I’m not quite big enough for maternity jeans and my belly does NOT enjoy Bella Bands (ouuuuch), I thought I was out of luck until I heard about these guys.

It’s really as easy as sticking a pin into your jeans, and the button is removable so you can use it in all of your pants. I can’t TELL YOU how much more comfortable the past few weeks have been with these buttons….well, how about I just show you.

Before:

Uhhh, getting a little tight. Sitting down is not the most pleasurable of actions at this point, and I’m beginning to feel a little concerned for the safety of my fetus. Oh noes!

After:

Dude, RELIEF. That is all.

Oh! You can also use these buttons to tighten a waistband if your pants are too loose. (Although, if that’s the case, you KIND OF SUCK.)

$18 for a pack of two. Buy ‘em here. They’ll make your tummy a happy place again.

Eff. I could’ve SO used that.

Of course, this product works on the theory that one’s thighs and can don’t expand beyond kingdom come–that it’s merely the waistline growing bigger.

Ummm…. is that seriously YOUR belly? At 19 weeks of pregnancy? My unpregnant belly doesn’t look that good!

OMG this may be my savior! I’m in an awkward “half-size” right now… one size is too small, the next is too big… it’s a bugger to buy clothes and this will be a godsend!

I’ve seen these before. Although I was so big during my pregnancies that I don’t think an extra button would have helped. They might be now, though.

Oh do I wish I had known about this little ditty a month or 2 ago. I am finally more comfortable and fitting into maternity at 23 weeks. There won’t be a next time for me but I will share with others :)

19 weeks on baby number 2 and you look like that? Good work!

Do I still kinda suck if I need to tighten my size 18 (!) jeans? I don’t think so.

Wow Sarah, that is the cutest baby bump ever….thanks for the great review and I am so glad that you liked the Adjust-A-Button. It’s a great way to get a perfect fit when in-between sizes like that, and hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Looking forward to checking out your updates on Whoorl! :)

Gap has some “no panel” pant’s I’m loving right now–they work just like the toddler’s with adjustments on the inside. These could be handy too, but I really needed them like 4 weeks ago. Yikes!

These are ingenious! I had a few pairs of jeans that I was able to wear for most of my pregnancy but in those last few weeks I had to pull out the rubber band trick, these look so much better.

Filing this away in my things to buy for the next time section of my brain.

I tried the Bella Band and found it did not work for me. I could have totally used this except by week 20 not only did my belly grow but so did my thighs. So, there was no choice but to go right into maternity pants at week 20.
