I second "The History of Love" (which is beautiful, and not at all a cheesey romance novel like the title suggests) by Nichole Krauss or "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" which is written by her husband Jonathan Safran Foer.

Or, if you need a quick, light read, find a copy of Ms. Pettigrew Lives for a Day, even if you've seen the movie. The book is so sweet.

Since moving to London, my usually curly hair has refused to curl (I think it's the hard water), so I decided do something that I never thought I could ever do before. BANGS! I love them. I also cut them myself (a week after the stylist refused to do it for me). East London should be the mecca of the Blunt Bangs Brigade. I've never seen so many fringed ladies in my entire life.

As for books, two of my fav are Fall On Your Knees by Anne-Marie MacDonald (dark, but I was unable to put it down) and The Girls by Lori Lansens. Also, Runaway by Alice Munro is an absolutely AMAZING compilation of her short stories.
