Wito’s birthday party was this weekend and it went off without a hitch. (Must have been a result of all my random 3 a.m. Type A wakings over the past week. “Don’t forget to bring a lighter for the candle!”, “Bring extra paper towels!”, “The Backyardigans balloons need helium first thing in the morning!” Why these things come to me in the middle of REM sleep, I will never know.)
I think Wito had a great time.
God, I will miss those precious front teeth when they fall out.
Making the party super duper special were my visiting parents, sister, brother-in-law and nephew.
I’m pretty sure this is the only existing photo of my sister, the boys and me. I kind of cherish it.
We’re packing it in while everyone is in town – so far we’ve done the birthday thing, drank WAY too many margaritas, visited the fair and hung out at the beach. Next up – a swanky dinner without the kids, a quick trip to the desert and a boat ride around the ocean.
Right now? A quick cat nap.

OK. I am planning a 4th b’day party and just wrote a big ole note to myself to BRING LIGHTER! So funny that you mentioned. I’m glad there are others in this crazy therapy group called type A moms. We should meet outside of 3 am.
