Hang in there, Whoorl! Both of my babies were screamers, it does get better. I second Happiest Baby on the Block!! Somethings work by themselves, some have to work together, depends on the baby.

You'll actually get to a point when you stop dreading the evenings, you accept that it will happen, you figure out the little guy's "off switch," and time rolls on and the scream fests pass. You and D will be able to eat dinner together again, Anders will be a 24 hour angel!

I felt compelled to post. My boy is four, but I remember like it was yesterday... Every night for about two hours he'd cry. The only thing that would calm him was to go to the downstairs bathroom with the extra noisy fan. And hold him tight. And bounce him back and forth.

He grew out of it though.

Thankfully #3 was very, very, very content with her swing.

Oh - and how did I email or do anything on the computer? One handed while the little one nursed...

Good luck!

My second child didn't like anything... swings, Snugli's, nothing. All she wanted to do was eat, eat, eat. And since I was breastfeeding, I just felt like a human lactation machine. Luckily for me, she got over that. Good thing, too, since she's 13 now. ;-)

Glad you were able to get out and about and have a good time!
