Hey -did you know there is a getty image of you and wito on msn.com's main page today? The story relates to being less protective is supposedly better for kids. (Either that or you have a doppleganger pair.)

1) I have been meaning to switch the the Method cleaners, but also decided that I would wait until I used up everything else we already had and start new, but now I'm not sure if that is more procrastination or cheapness! So I'm going to do the switch, take the products that I won't use to the dump for proper disposable, and try not to spend a small fortune at Target.
2) Like Ris, I have been trying to use my re-usable shopping bags, but it never seems to work, I never remember to grab them and you know they never make it back into the car after being used! So definitely trying to do more of that.
3) Veggies! Veggies! Veggies! Last year we grew tons of tomatoes and hot peppers, but not much else. This year we are growing a huge variety of lettuce and greens, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, peas and our radishes are looking great!
4) More supplementing our own veggies with trips to the Farmer's Market. It is just that early morning Saturday thing that we have trouble with!
5) Less red meat. Needs to be done for my health (hello cholesterol!) but also for my planet. We all need to eat less (my husband is so not on board with this!)

And Yes, the last paragraph did make my brain hurt (sorry!) so count me in for the Brita/FFG thing and I signed up for Filterforgood's site.

Hope you had a great earth day!

my favourite cleaning tool is a micro-fibre cloth because all it needs is water, adn very little of it at that. But for the toilet, I still use non-bleach cleaner. I will have to look for the Method one, I haven't seen it.

And this weekend we are putting in a clothesline. So for the 3 months of the year when it's not winter (Canadian eh?) we will forgo the use of the dryer which is so far from energy efficient I am pretty sure it's energy sucking votex can be seen from outer space.

I am going to:
1. Unplug my phone charger (and other electronics) when I'm not using them. I know its a small thing but I always am too lazy. Not anymore!
2. I am going to use recyclable bags at the grocery store. Again with the laziness, I *have* some of these bags but always forget to use them for some reason or another. I will use my earth bags, I will use my earth bags, I will use my earth bags.
3. I will turn off my hallway light at night. I leave it on because um, I'm scared of the dark, but I'm also scared of having to wear an oxygen mask and explain to my kids why polar bears are extinct.
4. I will check out books from the library instead of buying cheap bestsellers that I will only read once. Saves a ton of paper AND saves money too!
5. I will remember to bring a reusable water bottle to school/work every day instead of buying a water bottle.
