I just got back from Maternal Diagnostics where my amniotic fluid had dropped from a 5.86 to 5.73, but still above the dreaded 5.0 induction baseline. Thank goodness- I’m just not ready to be induced yet. The printout did show 4 contractions during the test, though.

Oh, and this weekend? The orders to rest and drink fluids? Yeah, that turned into a 9-hour car-shopping bonanza in Los Angeles yesterday. I KNOW! I’M STUPID! But we got a really pretty car! And I drank lots of water!

My next test will be on Thursday morning. Until then, fluids and bonbons on the couch. I PROMISE!

Whoorlito says Ciao!

  1. Glad to hear you’re still doing well. Hope you’re keeping cool – the hot weather has now made it here to Michigan where it’s over 100 degrees today. That’s so not supposed to happen here.

  2. Yikes. That’s really hot. It’s not supposed to be that hot in CA. It’s supposed to be perfectly warm and sunny, but not too hot, and never too cold, year round in California. WHY are the weather gods not following protocol?? Hang in there!

  3. Actually, today it’s 72 degrees and cloudy.

  4. I’m so nosy – what did you get?

  5. TAKE IT EASY for goodness sake! Low fluid is a serious thing. It bought me an emergency c-section with my first.

  6. Yes, what kind of car did you get? Hopefully not the dreaded mini van. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

  7. Well, at least the weather has cooled off for your water and bonbon extravaganza. I’m afraid it’s daytime television for you…

  8. Glad the weather has improved for you! But thanks EVER SO MUCH for sending the heat wave this way. It will be 102 tomorrow with a heat index of 110 and that means going outside will kill me. But I think it is a good excuse for ice cream, yes?

  9. Emily, I’m so sorry. Bad Weather, BAD!

That’s it, 3 people have emailed me about ice cream in the past 20 minutes. I’m getting some pronto…

    Which kind, though? Decisions, decisions.

  10. PLEASE take care of yourself. ;)

  11. So, what kind of car did you guys get? A Grocery Getter? Heh.

  12. Glad that you are feeling well. Here’s hoping your fluid levels stay high!

  13. i bet this heat is annoying the ever-loving crap out of little whoorlito and you.

    am i right?

  14. I read BONBONS as BOURBONS and nearly had a krisattack.

BlogHer has fried my damn brain.

  15. oooh, a new car! Rest easy drink lots. And do you go back tomorrow for another test??

  16. Okay, I am gonna be nosy as well – what kind of car did you get?

Sorry you are having to deal with the heat. I am glad I am not preggers dealing with 100+ temps. Today the high is supposed to be 102º but their weather guessing has been low these last few weeks.

Here’s to hoping your next test comes out okay.

  17. whoorlito, be nice to your mommy.

  18. 71? I raise you the 100 we hit today and the fact that they say it’s going to be 114 here tomorrow. And humid. REALLY humid. Which, well, fuck. Maybe I should fly home for a few days…

Hope the lovely weather has held!

  19. why is it that mothers and expecting mothers are the only ones that can actually see an ultrasound correctly…such as notice body parts etc.? i have never understood that. maybe i am just blind! that lil whoorlito is coming soon…i am feeling it!
