Whoorl Header #6

I’ll Miss You, Kauai

After an incredibly long red-eye (thank you VERY LITTLE, headwinds) and a near miss of my carefully-orchestrated Overlapping Layover Plan in Phoenix, in which my saintly mother flew with Wito to Phoenix from Oklahoma City to assist in the Official Toddler Tradeoff, we’re home!

I’m sorting through six days of photos and videos and receipts, but I have tips. Lots of tips! And hundreds of photos of scenery that I won’t bore you with, I promise.

(I also never told you the results of $300 Kauai shopping excursion. 7 tanks, 3 dresses/coverups, 2 bikinis, 2 chemises (ooh la la!), 1 pair of earrings, 1 pair of sunglasses and 1 pair of shoes later…the grand total equaled $320. I lost the challenge, peeps. And I honestly could care less.)

Until then, I will leave you a photo of the best drink I have ever had the pleasure of sipping, the Lava Flow from The Beach House.

The first, but definitely not the last.

Go me! Those condos you can barely see in the background? That’s where I stayed on my honeymoon! Man, now I’m all nostalgic. We were there over Christmas, so all the rich people who fly their entire extended families there for the holidays EVERY YEAR cracked us up with their whole, “Oh your honeymoon, that’s wonderful! Will you come back every year to celebrate?” Yeah, I WISH.

What is in that drink? I NEED ANSWERS. And also, at least two of said drinks. What, it was that kind of week.

(You look so perfectly beachy in that shot, by the way. I love it.)

Wait – you ARE going to tell us about each of those tanks and dresses and bikinis and where you got them and include photos of each, RIGHT?

Because I’m going to the beach soon, and I haven’t found much that I want to buy for the trip. And I need to buy things for the trip.
