Flax seeds! Look ‘em up online.
Bake with flax seed meal (you can substitute up to 20% of flour with it)…sprinkle flax in yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, or salads…learn to love the flax. It’s miraculous!
colace or the generic brand….no active ingredient and is safe during pg. it makes for a softer ride. i loved it while pg. didnt even have to take recommended amount. all was well.
I actually like prunes, even when I don’t need them. I agree with Cocodrie… flax works amazingly well, plus it’s really good for you and the baby, too.
There are some “flax snax” granola products that I like to eat as a snack or mixed in with oatmeal. They’re really good (especially the cinnamon flavor), but don’t eat more than about 1/4 cup at a time. You can get these at Whole Foods and at Wild Oats.

Yumm-o! If you’re eating prunes for the same reason why I should be eating prunes, then I need to let you in on a little secret – pineapple. It’s much tastier than prunes, but has the same effect if you know what I mean. I eat a half pound of it every morning for breakfast (it sounds more than it really is – think a bowl full) with a bottle of water and I am a happy camper until lunch. Before I discovered this, I was miserable and refused to drink any of those old-fart concoctions like Metamucil.
