My Favorite Green Household Cleaners

grove-collaborative
It’s been nearly a decade since I first wrote about switching out my conventional household cleaners for more natural, non-toxic versions, and looking over the list, I still use many of those products. (I don’t use quite as many Method products as I used to- mainly because I’ve found other brands/scent options that I like better. To be honest, I don’t prefer any scent at all, and my local Target never seems to carry many of the unscented Method options.)

If you look into my cabinet of cleaning supplies, Seventh Generation commands the most real estate. (Love their dishwasher gel, unscented hand soap, and laundry detergent, to name a few…) Although, we do use a few Mrs. Meyers and Method products as well.)

The big difference in how I purchase my household cleaners and items now? I use Grove Collaborative.

Let me break it down for ya – I don’t know WHY (someone please explain, pray tell), but the cleaners I use the most are rarely available at my local Target. It completely baffles me….eleventy billion household cleaners staring me right in the face, but THE DISHWASHER GEL AND HAND SOAP I KNOW AND LOVE ARE NEVER ON THE SHELVES. This makes me absolutely insane, especially when I make a trip solely for my household products.

I recently heard about Grove Collaborative’s service, and I was hooked. First off, the products are shipped right to my door every month. Plus, the prices are great. Plus plus, it’s not just about household cleaners…they carry green personal care/beauty brands too. (Acure! Dr. Bronners!) Plus plus plus, they are totally dedicated to helping everyone create a healthy, beautiful home by doing the work to find amazing, affordable and effective natural products – from non-toxic laundry detergents to sustainably sourced argan oil for your skin. Plus plus plus plus, Grove Collaborative is a Certified B Corp., which is one of just 1,700 companies like Patagonia, Seventh Generation, Etsy, and Ben & Jerry’s that meet the world’s most rigorous standard for businesses supporting social, environmental and community wellbeing.

Win win win win win, is all I’m sayin’.

You should definitely check them out, and if you want to pull the trigger, use this link to receive a $10 credit on your order, as well as a free Mrs. Meyers hand soap. Enjoy!

Have you looked into Norwex cleaning products? You inspired me to find “greener” beauty products, and Norwex took my household cleaners to the next level! I’m not a consultant, I promise. Just someone who has dipped her toe into greener products, and love them even more than Method and Mrs. Meyers! I still need to find dishwasher soap/pods, so I’ll be checking out the Mrs. Meyer version!
