This is great- thanks so much for your explanations! Do you mind if I ask what happened to bump the Beautycounter SkinTint off your favorites list?

I still love Beautycounter Tint Skin very much – it just doesn’t have SPF in it, so I didn’t include it in the video because I was talking about sunscreens. Still wear it lots, though!

That makes sense! It’s great to hear the reasoning behind your routine. Thanks again

I am interested in transitioning to green skin care products, but I’m looking for products that are a little more affordable (like $30 and under?). Would you be able to recommend any products in that range? Maybe a post on green beauty on a budget?

I have to step in here and recommend you try SW Basics. I know for me, the simpler and less ingredients, the better and you can’t beat SW Basics for that. There products contain 5 ingredients or less. I personally love the makeup remover, cleanser, and cream (for both face and body). People also love the toner, but it was too strong for my sensitive skin. But seriously, start there with their bestsellers mini kit and see how you feel about it. That’s what I did and then tried other things which did not work and I kept coming back!

Yes, Lisa! Victoria is so right – I love SW Basics too. In fact, I wrote a post about it here: https://whoorl.com/2014/12/s-w-basics-of-brooklyn-the-ultimate-makeup-remover/ (Available at Target too!)

Fabulous! I seem to have missed that post.

One more question, deodorant? I’ve been thinking of trying something more natural.

Ha! I didn’t even know you had written that post. I just had to share my love of the line. They are my go-to products when my skin starts misbehaving. :)

Thank you for sharing your routine! I’m always looking for new natural products to try and these look great. Dying to get my hands on that mask!

Sarah, you are the best! I am so grateful. My wallet, however, is not ;)

Thank you for this video! One question: Do you still use the Beauty Counter daily moisturizer in the am and/or pm after your cleansing routine? I’m just about out of my current nightly moisturizer and am not sure what to buy now.

Hi Joy, I’ve stopped using any sort of lotion/cream-type moisturizers in favor of oils and serums, so no, I don’t use that product anymore. However, it’s a great product!

Do you have a nice thick night lotion you’d recommend for the dry winter months? When I switched to mostly green products I started using aragan/rosehip oil at night (lovely during the warmer months!), but my cheeks and forehead are like sandpaper right now and my oil isn’t doing much :( Would love to know what you use!

I use Beautycounter body lotion, and when things get really dry, I add a few drops of the Beautycounter body oil into the lotion!

Good timing! Tata Harper is running a Friends and Family event for this week only. You can receive 15% off your purchase by using the code FF2015. After your glowing review of their products, through both words and gorgeous skin, I wish I could take advantage of the discount but currently live in New Zealand and they don’t ship here! Thought I’d pass the code along to you and your comment readers to take advantage instead. Merry merry!

No more Uma Oils? I am using both the Anti-Aging and Brightening ones now based on the last post.

Still looooooove Uma Oils! I have many – just am not using them right now while I work though my current routine stash. However, I always go back! (Brightening is THE BEST.)

Hi- Are you going to do a review on the vitners daughter serum? I got it.. i can’t decide if I like it or not yet. Thanks!

I don’t know if I will write a full review of it, but I do enjoy it. I like it in the drier months (like right now), but I don’t know if it will replace my beloved MUN serum.

Great video thank you! Do you have any feedback on Tata Harper’s Restorative Eye Creme and Resurfacing Mask?

    • whoorl

      January 12, 2016 at 1:15 pm

I haven’t tried the eye creme, but I adore the resurfacing mask! I actually combine the Regenerating Cleanser and the Resurfacing Mask for a 1-2 punch.

Love this post. Wondering also where your necklace is from? And what products do you most recommend for deep conditioning very dry/fragile hair? Thank you!

I recommend Innersense Beauty shampoo and conditioner – I love their line, and they have many options. The necklace is by Jennifer Fisher.

    Hi Sarah,

Your blog is my absolute FAVORITE! We share a love of everything Madewell and you introduced me to green beauty, for which I’m eternally thankful. :) I’m 28 and living in D.C. on a non-profit salary and I want to get my wonderful mama a birthday gift. I’d love to introduce her to some green beauty products that will make her feel beautiful and pampered. Do you know of any gift sets that would be perfect for a lovely 59 year old woman? I checked the Beauty Counter and all of their Christmas gift sets are no longer available…sigh.

    Thanks for your help!
    Mallory :)
