3 Bright Lip Colors for Spring

I have recently fallen in deep, deep love with the Matte Créme Crayons by BITE Beauty. I have used the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask every night for months (remember when I was on the search for something to hydrate my super dry lips this past winter? Yep, this lip mask was the winner by a landslide…), but for some reason never looked at the other products by the brand. Trés stupide, because the products are amazing, and get this, all food-grade. You know, just in case you wanted to ingest your lipstick…

BITE products are free of polybutenes, sulfates, and petroleum byproducts, and the lips-only collection is certified gluten-free and made with food-grade ingredients, without sacrificing pigmentation or performance. Of course, this makes me happy since my lip color choices have been severely limited over the past year from Project Beauty Clean Up.

I still adore the Lip Sheers by Beautycounter, but I really wanted something punchier and more opaque for the warmer months. A fellow matte lip lover turned me onto these lip crayons, and I’ve seriously never looked back. (For real, someone has to stop me. I’m about to buy #4.)

Here are the three I own.

You guys, I looooooove these three colors, and I’ve become so used to wearing them daily that I kind of feel naked without them. Sucre is a warm coral pink, Fraise is a jewel red, and Framboise is a bright, vibrant fuchsia.

The best part about these crayons, in my opinion, is the way they feel on the lips. They aren’t drying at all, like many other matte lipsticks, yet they stay put on the lips for quite some time. And the color is SO RICH on the lips. I love them. I really love them. (Can you tell?)

Aren’t they the prettiest colors? I think you should get yourself to a Sephora STAT, ladies. See you there.

I bought one of their nude lipsticks after one of the Sephora reps tried it on me, but I returned the unopened box because I’m a total newb when it comes to lipsticks/crayons and I didn’t think I’d wear it enough to justify the cost. Especially since my experience with lip products is that they dry my lips out. These look so creamy…and knowing how clean the ingredients are? That is swaying me, big time. It won’t seem like such an “investment” if I actually wear them on the regular. (ps–Sucre is absolutely perfect on you!!)

Kristina – if you like creamy, might I suggest Bite’s Butter Cream lipstick? It is SUPER creamy, and the colors are very neutral and pretty.

I’m obsessed with Bite too! I can’t get over how packed with pigmentation they are. I was looking for a good red and took home their lipstick in Pomegranate. I loved it so much I also wound up getting Quince for going out and Musk for everyday! The high pigment pencils are great too, but the formula is a bit drier so I tend to wear them more in the summer – Zinfandel is the most amazing bright coral! Winterberry is fab too. (Okay, so now I really do sound like an addict…) :)

I LOVE Bite!! I am obsessed with the Lip Mask and the exfoliating lip scrub, and these lip colors are the best. Now I want to run to Sephora on my lunch and pick up another!

I currently have misplaced my lip mask for three days and I’m about to cry. NEED IT.

I was debating heavily over what color of these to have my sister-in-law bring when she visited (I’m in Berlin), and your photos helped me pick Sucre, which I ended up loving. Thanks so much for sharing your colors! They are some of the best on the internet and very helpful to folks like me who have no Sephora to go in and try these on. Hope to get more of these great lipsticks before too long!
