Inspired by Mom

This blog post was written as part of my collaboration with eBay.

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, and in honor of my own mama, I created a couple of eBay collections inspired by her. (Isn’t she just the bee’s knees in that photo with her oversized sunglasses, striped sweater, and popped collar? I mean, COME ON.)

Two things that my mom always had in the style rotation when I was a kid? Bold, oversized sunglasses and tasteful totes. Well, it was the eighties, and ginormous sunglasses were everywhere. I fondly remember sneaking into her sunglass drawer (She had a drawer! Devoted to sunglasses!) and trying on every single pair, thinking I was the coolest. Here are some current beauties that remind me of the good ol’ days.

Whatever reminds you of your own mom, I’m willing to gander that eBay’s Mother’s Day gift guide has it. So why not create the ultimate mom-inspired gift collection using #eBayMom – and you could WIN a $500 eBay shopping spree. That’s a decent amount of sunglasses and totes, y’all. There are weekly winners, so create as many gift collections as you like before May 11. Also, for each gift collection you create and share, eBay will donate $1 to Bright Pink®, a national non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. It’s a win-win, peeps. Get started here!
