2. I just barreled through Season 1 and 2 of Homeland over the past two weeks. Oh, wow. So so good, and I’m genuinely sad over the ending of the second season. Why did that happen? WHHHYYYYYYYY, I ASK OF YOU? Seriously, I’ve found myself sitting in the school pickup line this week thinking about that ending. (Obviously, emotional investment in television programs/movies/novels is my forte.) Season 3 doesn’t start until September. That is a very, very long time, people.

3. For those of you who have asked, yes, I am planning to post pics of the house renovation. We still have so much to do in regards to decorating the house, but I promise I’ll post each and every room in the upcoming months. (Once we finish the lighting, the kitchen will be the first post, methinks. So happy with the way things turned out!)

4. A few articles I wrote elsewhere, if you are interested. 5 Quick Hair Fixes to Keep in Your Clutch. | Stylish Designer Stationery. | The Best Shopping Apps. (Are you all using Stylebook? It rocks the casbah.)

5. Oh! The titillating conclusion to The Great Ankle Boot Search is coming next week. I know I know, you’re on the edge of your seats over there. Right. In the meantime, here are even more super cute boots at a full range of price points.

6. Anyone watching The Bachelor this season? I have the episodes recorded, but haven’t jumped in yet. (See #2.)

7. We are taking the kids to Legoland for the first time this weekend. Any tips? Rides/treats we shouldn’t miss?

Happy weekend to you and you and you.

Legoland is awesome! We took the kids there for Sam’s fifth birthday. He wasn’t very interested in the rides, but there’s a ton to see.

Don’t get me started on Homeland. I’m obsessed. What will I do without my weekly Saul fix for the next several months?!?

We are doing the Disneyland/Legoland trip next month. We’ve got Disney covered, but I look forward to feedback on Legoland since it is our first visit. I’ve heard great things and Charlie couldn’t possibly be more excited. However my wallet weeps thinking of all the sets of Legos we’ll be convinced to buy.

Can’t wait for the renovation pictures. I’m sure it’s gorgeous!

Oh, Andrea. Has Charlie gotten into Chima yet? It just started, but Wito is ALL ABOUT CHIMA. (Which, of course, means tons of Lego sets. Aaarrrgh.)

Oh Chima… After spending his college fund on StarvWars (hello Millenium Falcon, why so many pieces??) and Ninjago for Christmas he announced that they were obsolete and so 2012. It’s now Chima, all the time. He even conned me into dvr’ing the show on some station that we’ve never watched and most definitely is not on my approved list. Add a rough dentist visit and our collection has started. Lego is almost as good at marketing as Disney, almost.

Rundown of the highlights of Legoland please.

Not sure if I can do The Bachelor again. Especially since Kacie is back, and she was just the cutest train wreck in the history of blindsided girls.

But you know I’m going to do it anyway.

Oh, you know you will! BTW, if (when) you do watch, tell me if you think the dude (his name escapes me) looks different than when he was on Ricky’s mom’s (I can’t remember her name either gahhh) season. Something is different with his face…

That guy is hot but it’s too much beard for me.

    And Homeland. Girrrrrl. We’re hooked.

A little much for me too, but come ON with the freckles. Love.

I’m telling you right now that the ending of the second season of Homeland is unreal. I can’t wait until you get there so we can talk about it.

That’s a lot of beard!! It sounds like I need to catch up on the show. I feel like I have missed to much.

How did you get through each day w/o watching them straight through? Showtime gave me until the 1/22 to watch both seasons on demand, I would have paid for them for sure. I watched it like it was a 24 hour movie. Lmk any other shows that you start. Have you read gone girl, taking it t&c, any other books you rec?

I had to pace myself, and now I’m pissed that I watched them all. Loved Gone Girl, although the ending angered me. Definitely read it. I think I’ll do a book post soon!

Have you seen the pictures of Rainer Andreesen? He’s a painter and former model who’s been in the “news” this week because Victor Garber just came out and mentioned that they’ve been together for 13 years. I’m partial to beards myself, but I’m pretty sure almost everyone would agree that he’s a Very Hot Bearded Man.

SEPTEMBER! I can’t wait that long! My husband and I cruised through both seasons, and now every other show we use to watch seems sooo lame in comparison. I adore Saul, Carrie is perfectly imperfect, I can’t wait to see how Jessica styles her hair next season AND Brody is obviously handsome. But yeah, no big deal.

Legoland MUST: get Granny’s apple fries! Also, there’s a phone app, but it wasn’t great the last time we went (a couple months ago). Have fun!

we went to legoland last january with our 2 & 4 year old and they had a blast – the 4 year old more than the 2 year old. we recently went to disney, so it’s sort of overshadowing my legoland memory…but i will say it’s much more manageable to do legoland in a day. we didn’t feel rushed at all – went back to our hotel for lunch and a rest and then stayed until close. my son loved a dinosaur roller coaster – still talks about it! there is so much to see…especially for a lego fan. food wise, the apple fries were supposed to be the big hit. we tried them – and they were fine. sort of had a weird aftertaste to us. my daughter wouldn’t eat them, my son had a few and was done. nothing else super memorable about the food. honestly, i think you can do it all in a day and not miss a thing…so just enjoy!

On The Bachelor’s 1st or 2nd episode, I can’t remember which, he talks about bringing a rape whistle with him when he talks to this one girl. HIGHLY entertaining segment. You probably don’t want to miss that one…

I’m very interested to see pics of the renovation! I’m hopefully going to be buying a house in the next year, so I love to see how other people’s homes look especially after work is done.
