Boot Camp Update

Who’s ready for a little boot camp update?

Hello?

Yes, you in the back! This one’s for you!

Alright, I am proud to say that I officially have 4 months of boot camp under my belt, and have lost…drumroll please…over 21 inches. 21 INCHES OF FLABBY FLAB, 10 of which have been since my original boot camp post in January. TAKE THAT POST-BABY BODY. HIIIIIII-YA!

(Do you sense my perma energy? Yeah, yet another perk of boot camp/exercise in general.)

Here’s the deal. I know some of you all are *this* close to trying out a boot camp. Well, if you are in Orange County, I have the perfect opportunity to try out boot camp AND benefit children’s cancer research.

Total Training by Tammy (my trainer!) and Road Runner Sports have partnered up to put on a 1-hour boot camp in Costa Mesa on Saturday, March 19th at 9 a.m. with ALL proceeds benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. When she told me about this, I almost flipped because this is the same foundation that is putting on the Cinco de Mayo run that I am running with Team Tiny Oranges!

If you are in the area, please come workout with us!

This sounds super awesome. I’m hereby bummed I don’t live in Team Tiny Oranges vicinity, and not just because it’s been MONSOON RAINING for days here. (Dear Portland: I know you think you’re cute, but you’re not cute right now.)

Also: YEAH, BOOTCAMP. You are super inspiring, friend.

I actually have my first day of boot camp TOMORROW and am so nervous. I signed up thanks to your prior post (though I am of course in Chicago) so this was the perfect thing to see today. Thanks!

Good for you!! My partner also does bootcamp and loves it. She started last spring and dropped 30lbs and a whole bunch of inches in six months. She loved Bootcamp so much that she is now an instructor. She’ll be 40 in April and she is in the best shape of her life.

That event sounds awesome. If we were local, we’d be there! I hope it has an amazing turnout.

21 inches?!?! I think I’ve dropped about 8 or so in two months, which is nowhere near as impressive, but my jeans still feel a whole lot better! You were my final inspiration to just go for the whole boot camp experience, though, so thank you!! It feels so great to be working towards getting back into shape.

YAY YOU!!! That’s awesome! Ok, so for a dumb question…did you measure all different areas before you started and then again every month or so? Or is that part of boot camp and they keep track for you? SO impressive!

I’m kind of late on commenting, but I wanted to let you know that I start boot camp tomorrow at 5:30am! I am a night owl, so it will be a bit of an adjustment, but I’m really excited. The inspiration for signing up was 100% whoorl! For better or worse, I’ll be thinking about you at the crack of dawn 5 days a week for the next 4 weeks. :o)
