hair thursday makeover 88

Take a look at Jessica’s hair both long and short.

Jessica’s hair:

Thick, straight
Normal condition
Can go several days in between washes without looking dirty
No preference for length – (that’s where you come in!)
Doesn’t spend more than 10 minutes styling
Doesn’t use styling tools
The above photos are without any product and air dried
Doesn’t wear ponytails

Soooo…what do you all think? Long or short? I have to admit that if her shorter style looks THAT smooth and glossy with no effort, I’m leaning towards a shorter cut.

Here are some above-the-shoulder options to get your brain working.

Let Jessica know. Feel free to leave any ideas for styles in the comments too!

I’m saving the top left for myself. I love it…question though: What would you use to style it?

Christina, styling wax or pomade. You can let short hair air dry (if it is straight that is) and then rub some wax through it and mess it up. Works great and adds shine.

What about something like Kate Lanphear? Similar shape to her previous short cut, but a little edgier.

That top Ginnifer Goodwin cut is SO AMAZING… anyone who can pull it off should totally try it.

I’m just realizing that Ginnifer Goodwin has had some rocking hairstyles. Love it.

I like the “longer” styles. I actually just took that last picture to get my own hair cut last week. I really like my hair at that length because you can still do cute “short-hair” things, but also still pull it up in a pony-tail. Plus, I think Jessica’s hair would look best between the two extremes in her pictures.

Oh, definitely the Milla Jovovich haircut (bottom left). That would be so gorgeous with Jessica’s hair texture, and she has a great face for short hair–so pretty!

I voted long, and here’s why. I’m on Round 4 of the short-short hair myself. Short hair is hot when your whole look is hot. I look great in a skirt or jeans and heels. Sometimes, though, I dress like a 12 year old boy. Then short hair just makes you look like a soccer mom who has given up, no matter how great your color and style is. Given that Jessica has the same sweater on in both pics (2 colors!), I am thinking cute, sexy outfits are not her daily wear and she needs long hair to keep a young, feminine look.

love the shorter too. she has a great faceshape and eyebrows – a shorter do would accentuate that. not SUPER short…but shorter than the long version of her photograph.

I really think the short hair work well for her. The long hair drags her down and hides her face. Hair should be a accessory that complements you and not hides anyones face otherwise they start to look like Cousin It from the Adams Family. I personally like the haircut jessica has with her short hair. I definitely would go for a crop look in the back so that even though she spends ten min on her hair she will have a style that doesnt look like she spent ten min.
