The Oscar Look

I can’t believe I watched The Oscars in its entirety last night. Of course, I was also playing 4 games of Words With Friends on my iPhone and becoming completely entranced with the closed captioning on my grandparents’ television.

[applause]

[upbeat instrumental music]

I have to say, Sandra Bullock looked gorgeous. GORGEOUS. That shiny, chocolate brown mane was hard to beat.

I’m also rushing out to purchase CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Paris. (Other Bullock makeup tips from the night are over here.)

Who was your favorite from the evening? Did anyone make you squirm??

Kathy Ireland’s hair was bugging the crap out of me. And so was she.

Other than that, I thought everyone looked lovely!

SJP- So! Much! Bronzer! It was terrifying. And by the time she presented, her hair was a horrible mess of flyaways. Confusing.

overall I thought the hair styles were snoozeville – but the hair texture and shine was great! favorite was sandra bullock and least fave probably Nicole Richie. The high bun aged her too much.

Wow. Sandra Bullock DOES look gorge. I watched about 15 minutes of the Oscars, but felt like I got the full experience due to the live-tweeting that everyone I follow was doing!

SJP looked awful. She is not aging well at all.

My favorite dress and overall look? Definitely belonged to Rachel McAdams. Followed closely by Anna Kendrick (I thought that color was perfect! on her), Kate Winslet (who always looks stunning), and Kristen Stewart (the dark blue was fantastic on her, and a color I wanted to see more! of on the red carpet).

I thought Sarah Jessica Parker’s dress was horrible, and Jennifer Lopez looked like she got her hair done and then took a nap on it.

I’m pretty sure Sarah Jessica Parker had a loaf of challah glued to the back of her head. And I agree, Sandra Bullock looked lovely.

Queen Latifah couldn’t have been dressed better.

Rachel McAdams is definitely my favourite, I loved her dress! Most people hated Maggie Gyllenhaal’s dress, but I thought it was great on her. Poor SJP, who the heck styled her?

I think Sandy (like she’s my friend and all) just gets more beautiful with the years. My friend who waited tables in Austin during college said Sandra came into her restaurant all the time and was so down to earth and friendly.

I like Maggie Gyllenhaal’s retro-quirky style, but I’m not a fan of the warm eyes and cool lips.

SJP’s hair was ridiculous, but the comments about her not aging well rankle somewhat. I mean, she IS aging – but she’s obviously not rushing out to get Botox’d and lifted and otherwise injected to within an inch of her life. And for that, I say YOU GO GIRL. She’s real, and there’s nothing wrong with that!
