    how to style blunt bangs

How to work with side-swept bangs. I have a hard time getting mine to lay nicely across my forehead without meandering into my eyes, and they’re not silky the way they are when I leave the salon. I suspect you can help!

K, I fix my hair in the morning before work and I work out at lunch. Inevitably, by the end of the day my hair is in a ponytail. I would love to see some options on restyling hair or professional looks with hair up (i.e. not a librarian bun)!

I’d like to see tutorials and reviews on hair and makeup products found “over the counter” so to speak, not at salons, just at Target or equivilant retailer.

I’d love to learn more about what to ask for in the stylist’s chair. I get a mystery haircut pretty much every time I go to the salon. My artsy 9 yo doesn’t want haircuts any more because he’s learned that when he says, “I just need a little trim, and no “Mo bangs” please,” the stylist hears, “A short layered boy’s cut with blunt bangs, please.” Maybe learning some stylist-speak would help.

I’m sort of new so maybe this has been done, but I would love to see some posts that cover current hair trends for the upcoming season. Possibly a look at some of the hottest looks the tutorials as to how to get them?

Same as Alexandra, I’m new here, so you might have covered this. I have a very specific question: I have fine, but very oily hair. So basically a little bit oily turns into gross looking with me, and practically any product that I’ve used turns my hair into oil city by the end of the day. Maybe I’m putting in these products wrong? So if you could show proper use of some good non-oily products, that’d be great!
Also, all the magazines say it’s bad to shampoo every day, but if I don’t, it looks like I haven’t in about a week! Any suggestions?

YES!!! Some tutorials or ideas on “Day-3” hair. Would love some ideas on something other than just throwing it in a pony tail (for chin-shoulder length wavy-curly big Mexican hair).

    Thank you! :)

Definitely more reviews. Maybe more that include different skin types and or hair types. Some sunscreen reviews for sensitive oily skin would be very helpful as my rosacea seem irritated by anything these last few years, but I really need to get back to daily sunscreen because my complexion isn’t as nice looking this winter from forgoing sunscreen this summer on days I’m spending in the office.

To elaborate on the 3-day hair… I would love to see some Day 3 hair for people/hairstyles that include bangs!

Oh I ditto that! I would love to see some ideas for “day 3” hair! Lately I’ve been giving up and washing mine every two, which I don’t love to do.

Products for fine hair… After an AMAZING 2 year run with the first Hair Thursday makeover (thank you for the longest-lasting hair style and most hair compliments of my life!) I’m ready for a switch up and am growing – yipes! I’m having trouble finding the right product for lift and hold and avoiding triangle hair. Mousse? Spray gel? Root booster? Tried ’em all but obviously not the right ones… Help!

p.s. Has it really been 2 years since you made over my hair?!!?? I can’t believe (a) Hair Thursday has been rockin’ for that long; and (b) I had the same hairstyle for that long! It would be interesting to hear how the time passed for you :-)

high end beauty product reviews. from hair to skin to make-up. there are some decent review channels on you tube but its not usually the expensive stuff (la mer, chanel, fekkai etc)

Inspired by some photos of Diane Kruger that you’ve posted, I’d love to see some more tutorials for updos that are polished and fun, but not too formal. As a frequent wedding guest, I’d like to wear my long hair up without looking like a bridesmaid or like I’ve come from the gym! In general, I’m more interested in tutorials, tips, and before/afters than I am in product reviews. Thanks, Whoorl!

Ooooh, I’ve just scrolled up and read Danielle’s request for stylist-speak. I second that!

I agree, more product reviews. I’d love to see reviews with salon brand products vs. drug store products to see which ones are worth the money.

I think I’m also confused on how many products you can use at the same time. Maybe I’m over doing it? I have very fine hair and try to limit the products I use as to not weight things down. Possibly a hair product 101 guide for dummies?

Ok so late to this one, but I would love to see you have a stylist guest (ahem TERA!!) explain just how to approach a stylist when you want a new haircut or color. Some people just need help, uh, communicating better about what they want and it would be great for a stylist to give tips on what to say, what to bring, and how to better communicate the style you’re going for so everyone’s happy!
