Well, That Was Fun.

Thanks to a very patient cousin (who spent his Sunday evening converting this video from television to computer instead of 12,000 much more exciting activities), I have procured Friday’s Rachael Ray segment for your viewing pleasure.

A couple of notes regarding the segment.

1. This was filmed over a year ago. My “20-month-old toddler” is going to be three in less than a month. THREE. Hand me the Kleenex, my baby’s growing up!

2. I seriously have no recollection of talking to Rachael for that length of time. I am now fully convinced I had an out-of-body experience on set.

3. How fantastic was my friend and fellow blogger, Rebecca? She’s beyond lovely.

4. In typical D fashion, when we finished watching the segment, he looked at me and said, “Great job, sweets, BUT WHAT IN THE HELL DID THE PRODUCERS DO TO OUR COLLAGE WALL?” I explained to him that during my at-home interview, the lights were reflecting off some of our artwork, creating a glare, so they pulled them off the wall. This caused him great distress, my friends.

So! Being the sweet (ha) and understanding (ha ha) wife that I am, I have decided to make an announcement to the world. Hey world! You probably would have NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS noticed this, but look at our jacked-up collage wall! At the 30-second mark! QUELLE HORREUR!

Ahhh, living with an interior designer. I’m not sure he is going to fully recover.

Re the conversion: Payment can be submitted in the account entitled “Alcohol and Babysitting.” Invoice to be received forthwith.

But, seriously, I thought you were outstanding – poised, witty, and articulate. Fantastic job. That said, my favorite part was the look on your face as your gave RR the courtesy hug during the closing credits. Ahh, true feelings sometimes leak through under even the most diligent of circumstances….

Pleading the Fifth on that one! ;) In all seriousness, I have to say I was completely blown away by her energy and intensity.

You were great! I tuned in last week (first time ever watched her show for any length of time, actually) and was so impressed. You are a natural! And your hair looked absolutely fabulous. Were you freaking out about a potential bad hair day while on TV talking about hair? I totally would have been!

You were awesome Whoorl! And so was Rebecca! I was impressed!

Especially because you didn’t leap across the table and punch Rachael. You were charming to her, laughed at her comments, typical awesome Whoorl!

I’m so glad they finally aired it!

I thought you were fabulous, though I wanted to throw things at my tv every time Rachael Ray spoke about blogging (was it just me or did she not even check out your blog before meeting you?)

I’m so glad that you posted this, because while I had the DVR set to record it, Graham stopped it right at the beginning of Rebecca’s segment.

Now I have seen the whole thing. Huzzah!

You were as charming as you are in real life. Well done, my friend.

You were fantastic and both of you looked stunning. Made for TV!

I’m also one of the few who doesn’t get annoyed by Rachael, so I thought it was a great piece all around.

    Kudos!
