Wondering…

Why do Ketel One dirty martinis taste just a little bit better at restaurants?

How can triscuits taste so good when fresh, but soooo bad when stale? Is the woven texture to blame?

Is my fantasy football team going to whip up on my husband’s team tomorrow?

Did SAJ want to jump off a bridge because I forced her to watch college football all day?

Is it wrong to get overly excited when “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco plays on my Direct TV 80’s channel?

Did the Desperate Housewives conspire to wear differing jewel tones at the Emmys? Sapphire, ruby, emerald…

Why does Catherine Zeta-Jones look like a COMPLETELY different person without her smoky eyeliner?

Is that dame from Beaches really dating Sayid from Lost?

Do most 30 year-olds lounge on the couch while listening to 80’s Direct TV music, drinking dirty martinis and reading US Weekly on Saturday night?

Should I admit I love nights like this?

The sounds like an awesome night. I’d love to just chill listening to 80s music (although, I’m more of a beer person than a martini person.). And I’m totally with you on the Amadeus song. Whenever it’s on the car, I turn it up and start dancing with wild abandon (well, as much as I can without causing a wreck).

And kudos to you for getting Brenda to watch football. I never thought I’d see the day! :)

If you forced me to watch football all day, I would likely want to jump off the nearest bridge. But that’s just me.

I think your Saturday night sounds pretty damn good. Can you tell I am in my 30’s? When I was in my 20’s that’d be a night of loneliness and torture but now it’s bliss. That’s like my favorite night reading Real Simple, drinking a glass of red wine and listening to the 80’s hits on my direct music channel. . . though it’s the song “Shoulda Known Better” by Richard Marx that makes me rock out. And THAT is what makes me lame. ;)

she DOES look like a completely different person without it…and about 10 years younger. it’s strange.

Both evening options sound good to me. Wine, Real Simple. Or Martinis, Us Weekly. Not so much the football. Ever. When it’s on its just this insane buzzing boredom hurling itself out of my television until the commercials come one. Thank god for the commercials.

And for me, it would be “Come On, Eileen” that gets me rocking out.

OMG Triscuits are like heaven in a box! I once tried to toast them in the oven to make them crunchy again. It just made them harder.
